Paparazzi Bangalore

If you happen to visit Bangalore, or rather Bengaluru as it now known as, then Paparazzi, the fine dine multi-cusine is a place you can stop by. Part of the Royal Orchid hotel group, the restaurant is situated in downtown Bangalore, in the heart of the central business district.

Watch the sun set on the city from the 13th floor (where the restaurant is situated )and let the evening lights of the city mesmerize you, while you sip a chilled glass of wine, cocktails of your choice or beer.

The USP of the Paparazzi is really the view, which one can soak in through the large paneled glass walls: there is no other equivalent restaurant in the vicinity which can offer such a spectacular view. The food on the other hand is not very exceptional, but the ambience more than makes up for it.

Short eats including kebabs on skewers, chicken satay, mushrooms are some of the restaurant favorites.

Paparazzi looks mesmerizing at night. Each table has a candle and some orchids as the centerpiece; what better way to wind down post a tiring day.

While on some evenings, they have the live DJ who mixes old as well as contemporary numbers, on all other days, recorded rock/country music is what is played.

Go there, if you have time on your hand, and not if you want to have a quick meal: since service can be a little slow ( discovered that recently when we stopped by for a quick meal! )

Open only early evening onwards, Paparazzi is good for a cosy romantic meal, or even a large dinner outing. One of their largest tables are placed in an enviable corner of the restaurant: an ideal place if you want to look at the city lights along with a group of friends and tuck into food.
